SERIES
The Pink House
I saw this house in Naples, when my Uncle Bob was driving us around the “intracoastal” on a rented pontoon boat. It wasn’t as pink in real life, but I loved it.
PROCESS NOTES
Two things I was trying to hit when doing this series:
1.
As an industrial design student, you are taught to draw in a very particular way - comic, fast, colorful and a little messy. The way I learned to draw with markers predates my exposure to watercolors, so I kind of treat watercolors as markers, including using blocky edges and layering color.

2.
My friend Caitlin has an architectural drawing of a house with palm trees, hanging as a piece of artwork. This is not that specific one, but you get the idea. Also it has faded over time. It just lives in my head. I will update with the actual photo when I can.
